20 Minuten vom Bahnhof Tsuruoka und 8 Minuten von Yunohama Onsen entfernt finden Sie das Kamo Aquarium, das Aquarium, das oft als das „weltweit beste Quallenaquarium“ bezeichnet wird

Das Kamo Aquarium verdankt seinen Ruf der Anzahl der Quallenarten, die seinem Publikum gezeigt werden: Mehr als 60 Arten wurden vom Team des Aquariums erfolgreich reproduziert.

Eine Leistung, die dank der Bemühungen des wissenschaftlichen Teams und des Direktors Mr. Okuizumi Kazuya möglich wurde, der ständig nach neuen Wegen forscht, um die Umgebung der Qualle zu verbessern.

Neben den Quallen zeigt das Aquarium auch eine umfangreiche Sammlung lokaler Meeresbewohner, darunter Robben und Seelöwen.
