The 2021 edition of Akagawa's Fireworks has been canceled and replaced by a "countdown" version of the event separated into three stages, all broadcasted online on Akagawa Fireworks' Youtube channel.
Because of preventing measures against the spread of COVID-19, the usual 2 hours long festival cannot be held under its usual form. The performance will be divided into three periods where fireworks will be launched every day in honor of the medical workers.

First stage:
2021/07/23 (Friday) to 07/31 (Saturday), location: Akagawa river banks

Second stage:
2021/08/01 (Sunday) to 08/12 (Friday), location: Matsugaoka plains

Third stage:
2021/08/13 (Friday) to 08/21 (Saturday), location: Akagawa river banks

Time: Every day during each stage from 19:25 (JST), duration: 2 minutes. Please note the fireworks can be delayed or canceled in case of bad weather.
